Admissions Coordinator Job Summary:

Oversees the patient admissions function, bed assignments, and completion of preliminary paperwork for entering LTACH patients. Works in tandem with medical, nursing, and revenue cycle staff to ensure appropriate patient placement. Collects, reviews, and inputs clinical patients’ data into a computer processing system.

QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Licenses/Certification: None required.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience in the field, Possess strong knowledge of hospital registration guidelines, including, but not limited to, compliance, consent and overall operations. Possess strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to problem solve, organize and prioritize multiple projects and activities. Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Possess the ability to work in a team environment.
