Job summary

Friends Seminary is seeking an Admissions Associate in New York for a 10-month, 75% FTE role. This position guides applicant families through the admissions process and collaborates with the admissions team across Kindergarten through 12th grade. Evening and weekend events are required.

Responsibilities include outreach, interviewing and evaluating applicants, being the primary contact for families, and coordinating admissions events while contributing to the school community.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an educator and/or admissions and enrollment professional.
• Maintains confidentiality and discretion at all times.
• Collaborative, resourceful, and team-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated efficiency and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
• Proficiency with CRMs preferred (e.g., Blackbaud, Ravenna), and Google platform.
• Reliable, curious, responsible, proactive, accountable, and principled.

Responsibilities

• Assist with outreach and recruitment.
• Interview and evaluate applicants and their parent/guardians, across three divisions.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for families interviewed.
• Provide detailed and timely feedback on interviews via interview notes.
• Participate in admissions and enrollment activities and events, including fairs, panels/information sessions, open houses, etc.
• Participate in the life of the School (i.e. community events, class observations, divisional meetings, etc.)
