Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an Admissions Coordinator for Compass Intervention Center. The role focuses on facilitating referrals from mobile crisis teams, hospitals, and other sources, coordinating intake, and determining the appropriate level of care for clients.

You will maintain thorough documentation and collaborate with families and unit staff. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Social Work (or RN) with prior intake/admission experience in psychiatric settings, plus knowledge of

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or RN required.
• Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, risk assessment, and related psychiatric concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate referrals between referring mobile crisis agencies, hospitals and other sources for call center operations.
• Oversee assessment, referral and admission activities; perform telephonic and in-person assessments.
• Coordinate referral and intake process; determine appropriate level of care; maintain communication with referral sources, families, clients and staff.
• Create and maintain department procedures (daily census, inquiry calls, referrals log) and ensure proper documentation.
