Job summary

Trevida Healthcare is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to collaborate with medical and facility staff to coordinate resident admissions and bed assignments. You will gather personal and financial data, determine eligibility, and maintain admission records while supporting marketing efforts and budgeting with the Administrator.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to healthcare financial processes.
• Must possess ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates admission of residents with medical and facility staff.
• Assigns accommodations for new admissions based on care needs, space availability, and preferences; enters bed assignments.
• Prepares records of admission, transfer, and other required data.
• Notifies departments of resident's admission.
• Maintains accurate financial records where appropriate.
• Keeps records of admissions and discharges, and compiles occupancy census data.
• Interviews residents or representatives to determine eligibility for admission.
• Determines work procedures to maintain sales efforts and referral flow to the facility.
• Initial liaison with residents and families on facility services and issues.
• Assists in all marketing efforts for the facility.
• Participates in departmental budget planning and reports to Administrator.

• Assigns accommodations for new admissions related to nursing care needs, resident and resident's family’s preference, availability of space, and other information, enters bed assignment information
• Prepares records of admission, transfer, and other required data
• Notifies departments of resident's admission
• Maintains accurate financial records where appropriate
• Keeps records of admissions and discharges, and compiles occupancy census data
• Interviews resident or resident's representative to obtain necessary personal and financial data to determine eligibility for admission
• Determines work procedures, to maintain sales efforts that secure positive referral flow to the facility's objectives
• Initial liaison with resident and families on facility services and issues
• Assists in all marketing efforts for the facility
• Participates in departmental budget planning and supplies monthly report to Administrator
