Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree preferred; relevant experience considered.
• 3–5 years of intake/admissions experience preferred in behavioral healthcare.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain referral relationships.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions and discharges for patients
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
• Assist with utilization review by supporting billing coordination
• Coordinate and collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient fees
• Assist with arranging patient payment plans
• Serve as a liaison to patients regarding insurance benefits and coverage
• Schedule and complete admission assessments and required documentation
• Support performance improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

This position is responsible for coordinating admissions and discharges, verifying benefits, and supporting intake and referral processes to ensure a smooth and compassionate experience for patients and families entering treatment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• Three (3) to five (5) years of intake or admissions experience preferred, ideally in behavioral healthcare
• Proven experience developing and maintaining referral relationships and networking strategies
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption, per policy

• Support performance improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals
• Perform other duties as assigned
