Job summary

Center Point Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Baton Rouge seeks an Admissions Coordinator to streamline patient admissions and transfers, ensuring a warm, compliant intake experience. You will verify insurance, coordinate with families and referrals, and guide prospective patients through the hospital's Rehabilitation and Skilled services while supporting the admissions team in a busy clinical setting.

Experience with insurance verifications and 6 months in a hospital setting is preferred;

Qualifications

• Experience with insurance verifications, authorizations and referrals.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proven ability to interact with patients and families.
• Minimum 6 months hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient admission and transfer processes.
• Answer inquiries from patients, families and referring entities.
• Educate patients on Rehabilitation and Skilled services.
• Conduct facility tours for prospective patients.

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the coordination of patient admission and transfer processes.

Requirements:

• Candidate should posses previous working experience with insurance companies to include verifications, authorizations and referrals.
• Excellent customer service skill required to answer incoming calls, meet with patients and family members and referring entities.
• Performs tours of the facility with perspective patients and families and educates on the hospital Rehabilitation and Skilled services.
• Minimum of 6 months previous experience in a hospital setting.
