Responsibilities

  • Write and update admissions content across profiles, pages, and communications.

  • QA through testing, reviews, and auditing.
  • Support campus visit activities and events, including tours.
  • Create training materials and train staff on processes.
  • Stay current with higher education marketing trends and Slate best practices.
  • Supervise student volunteers or assistants.

Job Description

We are seeking an Admissions Communications Coordinator to join the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. In this role, you will help shape and execute the strategic outreach and marketing efforts to prospective students, families, and school counselors. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer and meticulous editor who understands how to tailor messaging to diverse populations and possesses a technical aptitude and eagerness to learn new systems to manage these communications within our admissions CRM (Slate).

Responsibilities
  • Write, update, and maintain high-impact content for admissions profiles, landing pages, digital communications, and presentations, ensuring messaging aligns with brand standards and style guidelines
  • Use our CRM, Slate, to build queries, emails, registration forms, events, and portals (landing pages)
  • Ensure quality control through testing, review, and continuous auditing
  • Provide marketing, technical, and general support to campus visit activities and operations, including virtual and self-guided tours
  • Create clear instructional documentation and provide training to staff and student assistants on protocols and processes
  • Stay current with higher education marketing trends and Slate-specific best practices to identify new opportunities and efficiencies
  • Supervise student volunteers and/or assistants
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Written communication skills with attention to grammar, tone, punctuation and copyediting
  • An understanding of how to communicate complex institutional processes (like admissions requirements) in an accessible, engaging way to varied audiences
  • Comfort navigating databases, content management systems, or email marketing tools, with a willingness to develop proficiency in specific areas of Slate, such as Deliver and Forms
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple overlapping deadlines independently
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully within a team and collaborate with campus and external partners
  • Ability to work occasional weekends to support major on‑campus recruitment events
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least one year of experience in enrollment marketing, admissions, corporate communications, copywriting, or a related field
  • Experience using a CRM, email marketing platform, or database system (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, Mailchimp) to manage outreach campaigns
  • Experience editing and proofreading the work of others
Preferred
  • Experience working within the Slate CRM platform
  • Experience writing content specifically tailored for prospective students
  • Experience writing content specifically tailored for international students and families
