Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clinician RN to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention. The role includes initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinating the intake process, determining level of care, and facilitating admission while maintaining communication with families and staff.

Shifts include Day and Evening; Full Time and Part Time options are available.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma RN license is required.
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
• Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric population is preferred.
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a drug test and national background check.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong computer skills, excellent communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

The Admissions Clinician RN provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Ridge. Performs duties in accordance with the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients. Cedar Ridge is a behavioral health facility that encompasses a 206-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a beautifully wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, gym, outdoor courtyard and playground. Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma RN license, required
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
• Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention expierience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferred
• Experience in an inpatiet psychiatric setting, preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Successfully complete a drug test
• Successfully pass a national background check
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds
• Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping
• Strong Computer skills
• Excellent Communication skills
• Strong Leadership skills
