Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an Admission Clinician to support intake processes and ensure high-quality customer service in accordance with regulations and the organization’s mission.

The role involves comprehensive assessments for individuals with mental illness or related issues, maintaining census records, and coordinating with referral sources to facilitate seamless admissions.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree and at least two years in counseling or behavioral health or related intake/admissions experience.
• LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or LMFT preferred.
• LPNs and RNs encouraged to apply with valid licensure.
• Experience in intake/admissions processes and hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily census records.
• Enter intake and admission data into hospital database.
• Handle intake calls and verify insurance benefits.
• Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Review clinicals for new patients, complete assessments, and process walk-ins.

The Admission Clinician opportunity is a key member of the Lighthouse Admissions Team who will support all aspects of intake processes and procedures; ensuring that delivery of high-quality customer service is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The Admission Clinician is responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintaining daily census records
• Entering all intake and admission data into a hospital computer database
• Handling intake calls and verifying insurance benefits
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources
• Reviewing clinicals for new patients, completing assessments, and processing walk in inquiries
