Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta in Augusta, GA seeks a Licensed Therapist to join its clinical services team, coordinating patient-centered treatment plans and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care in line with Universal Health Services guidelines.

Candidates must hold a Master’s in a relevant field, GA licensure, and 3–5 years of mental health experience. This on-site role offers professional growth within UHS and its network.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work or related field.
• Georgia licensure required (LAPC, LPC, LMFT, LMHC).
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in mental health required.

Responsibilities

• Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate.
• Coordinates discharge planning through the medical staff.
• Communicates with outpatient referral sources, families/guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.
• Critical member of treatment team, interdisciplinary strategies and collaboration

Education

Located in Augusta, GA our 82-bed facility provides a therapeutic setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness. The Licensed Therapist opportunity is a key member of the Lighthouse Clinical Services Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric therapeutic strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective treatment is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The Licensed Therapist is responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
