Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta seeks a Licensed Therapist to join the Lighthouse Clinical Services Team in Augusta, GA. The role focuses on patient-centered therapeutic strategies, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective treatment aligned with Universal Health Services standards and regulatory requirements.

The Licensed Therapist will perform comprehensive assessments and coordinate care with medical staff, families, and aftercare providers, contributing to a multidisciplinary treatment plan

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work or related field.
• Georgia licensure required (LAPC, LPC, LMFT, LMHC).
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in mental health required.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive assessment of persons with mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or community functioning challenges.
• Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate.
• Coordinates discharge planning through the medical staff.
• Communicates with outpatient referral sources, families/guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.
• Collaborates as a critical member of the treatment team.

The Licensed Therapist opportunity is a key member of the Lighthouse Clinical Services Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric therapeutic strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective treatment is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The Licensed Therapist is responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
