Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta in Augusta, GA, part of Universal Health Services, provides psychiatric services and supports adolescents and adults with individualized programming.

The Admission Clinician is a key member of the Lighthouse Admissions Team responsible for comprehensive assessment of individuals whose lives are disrupted by mental illness or related challenges; you will manage intake processes and ensure high-quality customer service aligned with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and at least two years or relatable experience in counseling or behavioral health or related field with relevant intake/admissions experience.
• LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or LMFT preferred.
• LPNs and RNs encouraged to apply with valid licensure.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining daily census records.
• Entering all intake and admission data into a hospital computer database.
• Handling intake calls and verifying insurance benefits.
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources.
• Reviewing clinicals for new patients, completing assessments, and processing walk-in inquiries.

The Admission Clinician opportunity is a key member of the Lighthouse Admissions Team who will support all aspects of intake processes and procedures; ensuring that delivery of high-quality customer service is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The Admission Clinician is responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
