Universal Health Services in Sparks, NV is seeking an Admissions Clerk to handle the efficient admission of inpatients, outpatients and emergency department admissions. You will ensure accurate patient information collection and inform patients about hospital policies and procedures, while entering data into the computer system.

You will interview patients or representatives, provide billing information, and support CQI activities, contributing to a compassionate and service-oriented environment

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent customer services skills.

Responsabilités

• Obtain demographic and insurance information.
• Ensure admissions forms are complete and accurate; apply patient labels as needed.
• Inform patients/representatives about billing, patient rights, HIPAA and visiting hours.
• Collect payments when required and forward to business office.
