Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage the admissions process, serving as the primary liaison between hospitals and families. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of admissions experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of admissions experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility required.
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, PDPM, HMO guidelines, and RUGS II & III.
• Knowledge of CMS regulations and Department of Health (DOH) requirements.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the admissions process from referral through admission.
• Collaborate with hospitals and referral sources to ensure smooth resident transitions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral partners.
• Support marketing and outreach efforts by attending networking events.
• Educate prospective residents and families regarding services and admission procedures.
• Verify insurance coverage and authorization requirements prior to admission.
• Monitor admissions activity and prepare monthly reports on admissions trends.
