EmergencyMD is seeking an Admissions Assistant/Coordinator to join our team at Ghent Health and Rehabilitation. This role focuses on building relationships, coordinating admissions, and driving census growth through physician outreach and community networking.

You will evaluate admissions with center staff, manage referrals, and develop strategies to maximize admissions while ensuring compliant, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare business development.
• Managed care/insurance experience preferred.
• Experience with public and commercial payer sources preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in industry events and business development activities as assigned.
• Conduct admission screenings to assess care level, services needed, and insurance coverage.

We are a resident and family-focused community seeking a compassionate, team-oriented professional excited about building a positive culture and increasing our facility's census.

Major Responsibilities

• Manage the facility census through physician outreach, sales calls, and networking with community organizations and hospitals to generate patient referrals and admissions.
• Evaluate and coordinate admissions in collaboration with center staff.
• Achieve facility census goals and annual budget projections by conducting on-site sales visits to hospitals and physician practices to convert referrals into admissions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, providing excellent customer service and education on the services provided by our center.
• Create and implement sales strategies to maximize admissions and grow market share in the assigned geographic area.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance company reimbursement.
• Participate in industry trade shows and business development activities as assigned.
• Conduct admission screenings of potential patients, assess level of care, services required, equipment needs, and insurance coverage. Ensure timely clinical acceptance.
• Propose and implement innovative ideas to improve systems and processes for superior results.
