Job summary

The Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Los Angeles is hiring an Admissions Assistant to support the admissions process and coordinate with referrals. You will attract suitable candidates for admission, conduct tours and pre-admission interviews, and explain all facility services to families.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries via phone, email and in person, reviewing information for team decisions, and ensuring admissions are aligned with leadership. Experience in long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years related experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clear DMV record, and be insurable under the Company's insurance policy.
• Compassion toward residents and their families.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of Customer Service / Receptionist experience.
• Strong background in skilled nursing care.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.

If yes, how you will contribute to the team:

As anAdmissions Assistant you will work in coordination with Business Development function to attract suitable candidates for admission and integrate them seamlessly into the system. You will establish and maintain a constant working relationship with all potential referral sources, conduct tours and pre-admission interviews with prospective resident/responsible party and explain all facility services.

Our Admission Assistant receives and reviews all inquiries regarding facility admissions via telephone, email, fax and in person. Extracts information from referral and completes information sheet for team review. He/she will also review admissions for suitability with Administrator, Director of Nursing and Business Office Manager, as appropriate, for admissions decision.

Must haves:

• 2-4 years related experience in a long-term care or a skilled nursing environment
