Kaiser Permanente is seeking a detail-oriented Admitting Clerk to support patient intake and financial processing. Under supervision, you will interview patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays and explain hospital procedures.

You will also assemble and release records, and ensure accurate entry into admission systems. This role requires strong cash handling skills, accuracy with documentation, and the ability to coordinate with financial counselors.

Formación

• Experience with cash handling in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in hospital admitting or registration is required.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients or representatives to collect demographic and financial information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; collect cost shares and deductions.
• Prepare and file patient documents and armbands; ensure completeness and signatures.
• Document admissions and financial details in patient systems; cooperate with billing.
• Coordinate with Financial Counselors for patients with financial obligations.
• Provide front-desk support and assist other admitting clerks as needed.
• Maintain accuracy in cash drawer and bank deposits; balance at shift end.
