Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a student employee at Methodist College to assist the Admissions and Recruitment team with the enrolment of new students. Must be enrolled as a student to be considered.

You will support communications, process packets and letters, answer phones and emails, back up the Student Services Window, and help plan events and orientation. You’ll gain exposure to college admissions operations in Peoria, IL.

Responsibilities

• All Federal Work Study employees are required to complete 5 hours of communication service during the Fall and Spring Terms.
• Facilitate the Admissions Communication Plan through the sending of letters, admissions packets, e-mails, etc.
• Act as a back-up receptionist for the Student Services Window.
• Answer phones, e-mails, and assist internal and external MC constituents.
• Assist in the planning and execution of Admissions events and New Student Orientation.
• Conduct applicant file audits.
• Assist with the scholarship awarding process through data entry and validation.
• Perform special clerical projects.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
• Interact effectively with students, staff, faculty, and external clients of MC.
• Interact effectively and courteously with culturally diverse groups.
• Communicate accurate information to recipients.
