Job summary

Hudson County Community College in Jersey City seeks an Admissions Advisor to support recruitment and enrollment initiatives within the Enrollment/Admissions Office. You will guide applicants, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with financial aid and other offices to ensure timely enrollment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or an associate’s with two years of related admissions experience) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or Associate’s degree with two years of admissions experience.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Computer proficiency and knowledge of automated admissions and student information systems.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish required for one vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing short-term and long-term strategic enrollment initiatives for Admissions.
• Follow up with inquiries and applicants via phone, email, and text in a timely manner.
• Provide information about the College and its programs to prospective students.
• Guide applicants through the admissions and enrollment process and coordinate with other offices for smooth transitions.
• Utilize SIS to document follow-up activities and next steps for students.
