Job summary

UI Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Revenue Cycle Liaison to coordinate between patients, healthcare providers, billing and insurers. This on-site role runs 9:00AM–5:00PM with Days shifts, and offers benefits eligibility including health, dental, vision, retirement and tuition waivers.

Responsibilities include verifying patient eligibility, obtaining authorizations, managing workqueues, and staying current with payer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of work experience in a medical setting obtaining preauthorization approval from medical insurance.
• Experience using Epic Systems including navigating work queues.
• Experience completing insurance prior authorizations and navigating complex insurance requirements and payer portals.

Responsibilities

• Determines if patient is eligible for intended care at UI Health.
• Secures patient authorizations and financial clearance in the pre-access workflows.
• Maintains applicable assigned workqueues and expected lead times.
• Stays up to date as policies and necessary documentation and payer requirements change. Maintains competence and technical knowledge.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
