Job summary

Cordova Wellness & Rehabilitation Center in Cordova, Tennessee, is seeking an Admissions Assistant to join our care team. You will support intake, coordinate referrals, and help prepare rooms for potential admissions, while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

The role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and strong communication with residents, families, and referral sources. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and experience in healthcare admissions or SNF settings is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Experience in admissions or marketing roles in healthcare.
• Experience in SNF admissions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Intake department on referral review and approvals.
• Communicate with referral sources, residents, and families to complete paperwork.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to prepare rooms and equipment for admissions.
• Support confidentiality of protected health information in all communications.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Admissions Assistant Position Summary

As the Admissions Assistant at Cordova Wellness & Rehab, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care. Responsibilities include:

• Work with the Intake department on referral review, reviewing in a timely manner. If needed, verify all insurances and start authorizations. Maintain a working knowledge of community's practices related to payor and hospital contracts.
• Communicate with referral sources regarding referral status and communicate with residents and family members to complete paperwork.
• Work with the interdisciplinary team to prepare rooms, order equipment, and accommodate any other resident needs for potential admissions.
• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Administrator and/or corporate Director of Marketing and Communications.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Admissions Assistant Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience in an Admissions or Marketing role in healthcare
• Experience in SNF Admissions preferred
