Park View Nursing and Subacute in Reseda, CA is seeking a part-time Admissions Assistant to join our team. You will work with the Business Development function to attract candidates for admission, conduct tours, and handle pre-admission interviews with prospective residents and their families.

You will manage inquiries from phone, email, and in person, review information, and coordinate with leadership on admission decisions.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–4 years related experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
• Compassion toward residents and families.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws and regulations related to long-term care.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of Customer Service / Receptionist experience.
• Strong background in skilled nursing care.

Responsibilities

Now Hiring for: Part-time Admissions Assistant

Salary Range: $20-$22 per hour.

If yes, how you will contribute to the team:

As anAdmissions Assistant you will work in coordination with Business Development function to attract suitable candidates for admission and integrate them seamlessly into the system. You will establish and maintain a constant working relationship with all potential referral sources, conduct tours and pre-admission interviews with prospective resident/responsible party and explain all facility services.

Our Admission Assistant receives and reviews all inquiries regarding facility admissions via telephone, email, fax and in person. Extracts information from referral and completes information sheet for team review. He/she will also review admissions for suitability with Administrator, Director of Nursing and Business Office Manager, as appropriate, for admissions decision.

Must haves:

• 2-4 years related experience in a long-term care or a skilled nursing environment
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs
• Must have valid driver’s license and clear DMV record, and be insurable under Company's insurance policy
• Compassion toward residents and their families
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice to have:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college with specialization in marketing, communications or equivalent
• 1-2 years of Customer Service / Receptionist experience
• Strong background in skilled nursing care
