Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent; demonstrated related work experience may substitute educational requirement.
  • Two years of experience in secretarial or clerical roles reporting to a senior manager.
  • Proficiency with computer business applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Driver trainer experience preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial support to the Driver Safety & Training department.
  • Maintain training records, logs, and departmental files.
  • Monitor trainee progress and assist with timely completion of programs.

Join our Driver Safety & Training department as a Training Program Coordinator! In this dynamic role, you’ll provide essential secretarial and administrative support, maintain accurate training records and departmental files, and help monitor trainee progress. Your attention to detail and proactive coordination will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely completion of our driver training programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides moderately complex and comprehensive secretarial support to the Driver Safety & Training department.
  • Routinely updates and maintains systems, records, training files, and logs. Establishes and maintains departmental files.
  • Monitors training progress: assists/facilitates timely and successful completion of the training program.
  • Coordinates meetings, classroom sessions and schedules for trainers and students.
  • Performs administrative duties required by departmental supervision.
  • Schedules preventative maintenance for motorcoaches, tracks monthly mileage and maintenance costs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • This job normally requires a level of knowledge in secretarial duties equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of an Associate’s degree, some college coursework. Demonstration of directly related work experience, which has provided an equivalent breadth, and depth of knowledge may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • This job normally requires two years of experience in positions involving secretarial or clerical assignments and reporting to a senior level of management.
  • Previous experience as a driver trainer is preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to all guests, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.

  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
