Job summary

Wipro is seeking a Network Engineer to design, install, and operate routers and switches across data center fabrics and regional deployments. You will develop Python automation to reduce manual tasks and support brownfield scaling, multi-cloud integrations, and CI/CD workflows.

The role requires strong expertise in BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6, DNS/DHCP, IPsec/VPN, SSL, and hands-on experience with Arista and Cisco gear. Collaboration and Jira-based project work are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with designing, installing, configuring, upgrading and operating routers and switches.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VRRP, SNMP, STP/RSTP, VLANS and routing protocols such as ISIS/OSPF/BGP.
• Scripting and automation in Python to reduce manual deployment effort.
• Experience with data center fabrics, multi-cloud integrations and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, upgrade and operate routers and switches.
• Develop automation scripts (Python) to streamline deployments.
• Support brownfield scaling, rack additions and decommissions.
• Build and manage data center fabrics, edge and metro networks.
• Collaborate on region builds, multi-cloud integrations and Butterfly turn-ups.
• Operate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and OCI tools.
• Apply expertise in BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, IPsec, VPN, SSL with network gear (Arista, Cisco).
• Manage Jira tickets related to Network infrastructure projects.
• Attend and coordinate team and project meetings.

• Working experience on Routers and Switches - Design, installation, configuration, upgrades and operations
• Proficiency in network protocols and standards including TCP/IP, DHCP,DNS,VRRP, SNMP, STP/RSTP, VLANS, Routing protocols (ISIS/OSPF/BGP).
• Deploying greenfield network infrastructure and enabling connectivity for new OCI regions and child sites.
• Developing scripts and automation (Python preferred) to reduce manual deployment effort.
• Supporting brownfield scaling including CFAB rack adds, compute expansions, server rack adds and decommissions.
• Building and managing data center fabrics, edge, backbone, and metro fiber networks.
• Executing region builds, DRCC/Alloy expansions, multi-cloud integrations, and Butterfly turn-ups.
• Operating and Build CI/CD pipeline environment using GitHub and OCI’s internal tools for automated deployments.
• Leveraging networking expertise across BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, VPN, SSL, and working with Arista, Cisco and other network hardware.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
