Merriman Care Community in Akron, Ohio, is seeking a Nursing Home Administrator to oversee daily operations of a long-term care facility, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

You will lead clinical, administrative, and facility teams, develop policies, manage budgets and billing, and foster a compassionate, inclusive culture for residents and staff while engaging with families and the community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in long-term care.
  • Must hold a valid Nursing Home Administrator license.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all operations of the nursing home, including clinical, administrative, and facility management.
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, caregivers, and administrative staff.

  • Stay current with state and federal regulations and prepare for inspections and audits.

Job description

The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a long-term care facility, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.
