Job summary

Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance is seeking an Administrative Underwriter to join the New Business team. You will analyze, classify, and finalize non-medical retention applications while supporting agents through the application process and contract delivery.

Ideal candidates have an associate's degree with relevant experience or equivalent work history, basic Word skills, and strong communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 3 years of relevant work experience or 5 years in customer-related roles
• Basic knowledge of new business/underwriting operations
• Basic knowledge of SFB products
• Typing speed of 25 wpm minimum
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word
• Strong communication and analytical skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Verify and enforce all company and state rules related to processing life and annuity products
• Determine accuracy of client and policy records and request information as needed
• Evaluate non-medical applications
• Complete the issue process on all applications
