Job summary

The State of California, Court of Appeal, Division One of the Fourth Appellate District in downtown San Diego is seeking an Administrative Support Technician to provide diverse administrative support under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of administrative support experience.
  • Two years as an office assistant with the judicial branch may substitute for experience.
  • Directly related college-level coursework may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective administrative support and assistance.
  • Research, compile, and summarize data and information.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Safely operate standard office equipment.
  • Organize and maintain accurate files and records.
  • Organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.
  • Lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

Job description

The State of California, Court of Appeal, Division One of the Fourth Appellate District located in downtown San Diego is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Support Technician. The Administrative Support Technician will work under the supervision of the Assistant Clerk/Executive Officer and provide a variety of administrative support to the court.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have at least the following:

Equivalent to graduation from high school and three (3) years of administrative support experience. Or Two (2) years as an office assistant with the judicial branch.

Directly related college-level course work may be substituted for required experience on a year- for-year basis.
