Job summary

Gwinnett County Government is seeking anAdministrative Support position to act as a liaison between internal and external departments, welcoming visitors and handling inquiries. The role involves maintaining the lobby, signing in guests, performing clerical tasks, and coordinating meetings for stakeholders.

The successful candidate will assist with project tracking, help disseminate communications, and support open records processing, continuing Gwinnett County’s commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Two years of administrative support or related office experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Preferred: administrative office experience, Microsoft Office programs, GOVQA.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and answer incoming calls, providing courteous assistance to the public and staff.
  • Maintain the front lobby and manage visitor sign-ins for organization and safety.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, scanning, mail distribution, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Coordinate various events and meetings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Support open records processing as needed.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.; AND
  • Two years of administrative support or related office experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
