This position requires fundamental computer skills, including spreadsheet and database management, basic grant and departmental budget reconciliation, word-processing, and e-mailing. Tasks in the broad areas of administrative support are assigned by the faculty and are typically prioritized by the secretary according to guidelines given by the supervising faculty member. This position is essential for enabling faculty members to fulfill responsibilities in the areas of scholarly activity, teaching, and university service. This position requires indirect supervision, the ability to work independently, and careful attention to detail.
