Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Switchboard Receptionist in Rutland, MA. The role involves serving as the first point of contact for callers and visitors, routing calls, greeting guests, and supporting clerical tasks.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with a starting pay range of $20.00 to $23.30 per hour, depending on education and experience. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 3 years of administrative experience,

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
• 3 years relevant experience in administration, preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient computer and Mircosoft Office skills.
• Must be able to attend 3 days of paid new hire orientation Monday-Wednesday 8:00am-4:00pm

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for callers, visitors, clients, families, staff and community partners, maintaining a professional, calm, and helpful presence at all times.
• Answer and route incoming calls, greet visitors, and assist with initiating and following emergency procedures, and maintaining a professional, calm, and helpful presence at all times .
• Assist with clerical tasks such as mail sorting and distribution, copying and faxing, booking conference rooms, and occassional data entry/updates.
