The Executive Office for Immigration Review, Board of Immigration Appeals in Falls Church, VA seeks an Administrative Specialist to coordinate administrative programs, monitor activities, and provide guidance on operational issues.
The role involves analyzing trends, preparing status reports, and applying procedures to resolve program issues with limited supervision.Applicants must meet GS-09/11 qualifications.
This position is located in the Board of Immigration Appeals, Executive Office for Immigration Review, U. S. Department of Justice. The incumbent coordinates administrative programs for the Board of Immigration Appeals, monitors program activities, analyzes operational issues, provides guidance, and recommends improvements to administrative support. This is a Competitive Service position; additional positions may be filled from this announcement within 90 days of certificate issuance.
In order to qualify for the Administrative Specialist position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

Applicants must have a master's OR equivalent graduate degree, OR two (2) full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or LL.B. or J.D. in a directly related field, that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Applicants must possess a combination of the above described education and specialized experience such that they total 100% of the stated minimum qualifications for the GS-09 level. Only graduate education beyond one (1) year, i.e., 18 semester hours, may be combined with experience under this provision.
