Job description

Under administrative review from the Director of the Carsey School, provide administrative academic support to faculty coordinators, faculty, students, and alumni of four graduate degree programs, and other special programs in the school; serve on admission and related committees within the Carsey School and interdepartmental sub-committees, groups, and task forces within UNH; manage academic affairs for all graduate programs such as recruiting new students utilizing the Salesforce CRM system, establishing and maintaining academic partnerships, updating graduate catalog degree information annually, and insuring academic content is current for: Carsey webpages, marketing collateral, email blasts, partnerships, fellowships, student/alumni master databases, and interdepartmental collaborations; and operational functions such as academic events on and off campus, onboarding and managing academic team members and academic file organization and systems.Job Duties/Responsibilities:Academic Program Administration for Four Graduate Degree Programs:Collaborate with Administrators and Faculty Coordinators to ensure high quality program curriculums address the needs of students and the school and are accurately represented to prospective students, current students, and throughout the UNH ecosystem including the academic catalogs for Carsey’s four academic programs.Facilitate submissions as needed for Accelerated Master’s articulation plans.Serve on Carsey’s Curriculum, Admission, and Scholarship Review Committees as needed.Establish and manage contractual collaborations with external departments and organizations to build and maintain academic partnerships and education awards, including webinars, presentations, collateral, application forms, and other promotional materials.Oversee administration of Carsey’s numerous experiential learning programs such as the Washington, DC Colloquium, internship program, capstone projects, and fellowship programs requiring collaboration with academic departments and external institutions and organizations.Coordinate departmental information, issues, and processes and serve as college liaison with various campus departments including serving on graduate sub-committees, as follows: Accelerated Master’s Taskforce; Events, Gear, and Initiatives (EGI); Graduate Recruitment Team; International Marketing and Recruitment; Salesforce Recruitment Group; and other sub-committees as needs arise.Develop annual recruitment marketing plan for in person recruiting events.Act as Carsey’s Academic Team liaison with Carsey’s Marketing Communications Team for academic content related to Carsey’s website, marketing collateral, email campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives.Collect and report on student recruitment data to inform future recruitment events and strategies.Academic Programs Support:Assist Faculty Coordinators with administrative functions to notify, advise, and support students throughout their academic career including course registration info and deadlines, semester and term start and end dates, available Carsey courses, filing their intent to graduate, ordering regalia, and other important info and dates as they arise.Establish and maintain/update individual Canvas sites for each of Carsey’s four degree programs which is the primary information resource for students.Facilitate student engagement and provide timely information and resources within the Carsey School Student Hub group on the new my.usnh.edu portal.Provide outreach to students and alumni about internships, job opportunities, and events as they become available.Coordinate and manage Carsey’s academic student events including program orientations, capstone presentation sessions, monthly student meetings, quarterly student gatherings, and bi-annual networking events with alumni and other student gatherings/events as they arise.Support students through their Graduation and Commencement process and oversee Carsey’s Celebration Graduation event.Build and strengthen alumni network connections through in-person and virtual events and outreach as well as alumni newsletters and online social media sites.Supervisory:Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff and students for the academic team.Provide support and assist staff and students with accessing and utilizing UNH software and systems (Salesforce/TargetX, Canvas LMS, Workday, Qualtrics, Microsoft applications, Zoom, and other information systems and applications as needed.)Requirements:Minimum Education & Experience:Master’s Degree in Community Development, Public Administration, Public Policy, Global Conflict & Human Security, or related area10+ years of administrative experience within Higher EducationExperience working with diverse student populations in a higher education settingExceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skillsProficient use of student and employee information systems and software applications at USNH such as Salesforce/TargetX, Canvas LMS, Workday, Qualtrics, Microsoft applications, Zoom, and other information systems and applications as needed.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Teams, Bookings, etc…), Adobe, Courseleaf, and other software programs as required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience using the WinSCP or FileZilla file transfer applicationsExperience using Paperless Post, Eventbrite, or other event invitation applicationsApplicant Instructions:Applicants should be prepared to upload the following documents when applying online within the My Experience: Resume/CV section of the application: (Maximum of 5 Documents)Resume/CVCover LetterApplications that are missing any of the required items may not move forward for consideration.
