Salary Range: $18.70 - $27.11 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Generally No Weekends
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.0 FTE or 80 Hours Biweekly
With limited direct supervision, provides general and complex secretarial and administrative support services to Nursing Directors, Nurse Managers, Clinical Supervisors and Administrative Nursing Supervisors including establishing and maintaining records, composing and editing correspondence and documents; coordinating and supporting special projects; investigating information and providing assistance for a variety of other related activities. Required good communication skills to establish and maintain internal and external working relationships.
Typing skills of 60 wpm. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel. Speedwriting, shorthand and/or dictation preferred. Knowledge of basic communication skills and working with people. Ability to communicate assertively and appropriately with employees and the general public; ability to operate duplicating equipment; to spell and use good English; to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; to maintain records, files and reports and keep them organized; to maintain confidentiality; to prioritize and meet deadlines; to work concurrently with numerous details and interruptions with accuracy and timeliness.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
Ability to speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
