Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the clinical and administrative staff in a busy physician practice. The role emphasizes accuracy in patient charging, chart abstraction, and coordinating insurance referrals.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in a physician’s office, strong English communication and organizational skills, and a solid understanding of the referral process and scheduling of physician appointments.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 - Monday - Friday Within a high-volume setting, provides support functions to the clinical and administrative staff; ensures attention to detail and aids in the completion of patient charging, abstracting, and insurance referrals.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: One to three years previous experience as a Admirative Assistant in a physicians practice or Clinic environment Command of verbal and written English; positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills. Understanding of referral process. Knowledge of physician appointments and schedule management.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Knowledge of medical terminology Computer skills.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
License/Certification: N/A.

Salary Range: $18.71-$28.26
