Job summary

HDR is seeking an Administrative Project Coordinator to support our Architecture studio's construction administration tasks and document control. You will collaborate with Project Architects, manage files, and help coordinate meetings and presentations.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree and at least 1 year of related experience, plus proficiency in Word and Excel, and a commitment to our employee-owned culture. This position is full-time and on-site in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Construction Administration tasks with Project Architects using Newforma.
  • Track RFI and Submittal responses and ensure timely contractor/owner communications.
  • Apply quality assurance guidelines for project document management.
  • Coordinate meetings and prepare presentations.
  • Maintain paper and electronic files.
  • Assist with client interactions and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Administrative Project Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

  • In the role of Administrative Project Coordinator in our Architecture studio, we'll count on you to:
  • Work with multiple Project Architects to organize, process, and follow up on Construction Administration tasks via Newforma software.
  • Help track Construction Administration processes, subconsultant RFI and Submittal responses, and help administer timely return of all correspondences to the Contractor/Owner.
  • Apply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management.
  • Work with multiple Architecture Project Managers and project teams as needed.
  • Create and maintain paper and electronic files.
  • Assist with and help coordinate meetings and presentations.
  • Exhibit professionalism with clients (internal and external).
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the Architecture/Engineering/Construction Industry
  • Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 1 years related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
