  • Assist/orient new faculty and staff
  • Maintain files, databases, and tracking systems
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and problem solve for service line support staff
  • Coordinate/organize administrative activities and functions across clinical programs such as educational workshops, information collection
  • Assist with effective day-to-day operation of project operations
  • Provide support/assistance to staff and leaders as needed
  • Screen, interview, and assist individual programs in hiring support staff as needed
  • Manage schedules for administration
  • Committee participation and completion of committee work, communicate such efforts to team and superiors
  • Assist leadership to obtain funding for outreach if needed and prepare annual reports
  • Track completion and timely submission of EPR/PMR's
  • Maintain and provide marketing information and public relations services, and attend events as requested
  • Organize, develop, edit, and distribute service line newsletter and other publications
  • Assist with recruitment, reappointment, assignment of clinical faculty
  • Coordinate/organize documentation for annual performance evaluations and objectives for department
  • Attend and provide minutes for operations, faculty, and other meetings as requested
  • Assist and track development of contracts with schools, outside agencies, individuals

Job description

The Dementia Epidemiology Research Program within the Department of Psychiatry conducts NIH-funded, population-based research focused on older adults in the Monongahela Valley. The program’s academic site is located in Oakland, with field sites in White Oak and Braddock, where staff conduct participant assessments and support data entry, processing, and research operations. This position is grant funded.
