Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma; Associate’s Degree or beyond preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Google Suite. Experience in PowerSchool is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Possession of or eligibility for certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language – intermediate skill required; advanced skill desired.
  • Careful attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Operate general office equipment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Work well independently and with a team.
  • Collaborate with other Administrative Professionals.
  • Highly dependable and flexible.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate calendars and schedule appointments, and set reminders.
  • Greet visitors and manage sign-in/sign-out procedures.
  • Receive and route telephone/VP calls appropriately.
  • Handle email and formal correspondence to staff and families.
  • Perform e-filing and filing; maintain records and databases.
  • Process forms and related paperwork.
  • Print lesson plans as needed.
  • Assist in planning department events.
  • Distribute letters and other correspondence via mail/email.
  • Provide clerical support for programs and departments.

Duties

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Generally works in an office environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch and reach with hands and arms
  • Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. G
