New York Eastern Probation is the community corrections arm of the federal court system. Applicants must possess a four-year degree from an accredited college or university, plus have at least seven (7) years of progressively responsible administrative, technical, professional, supervisory, or managerial experience. This experience should demonstrate:

1. Skill in developing interpersonal work relationships needed to lead a team of employees,
2. The ability to exercise mature judgment,
3. Knowledge of the basic concepts, principles, and theories of management, and the ability to understand the managerial policies applicable to the judiciary.
