This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care through effective staffing coordination, operational oversight, and adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor serves as a clinical and administrative resource for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams and supports hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational performance.**Key Responsibilities*** Provide administrative and clinical oversight of nursing operations during assigned shifts* Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation to ensure safe and effective patient care* Serve as a leadership resource for nursing staff, addressing clinical, operational, and personnel concerns* Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, and NYS Department of Health standards* Support quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives* Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams* Respond to and manage urgent clinical or operational issues, including incident reporting and escalation as needed* Participate in audits, documentation review, and regulatory readiness activities**Minimum Requirements*** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York* Minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical nursing **Home Care** experience, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred* Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, patient flow, and competing priorities* Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications* Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as requiredMontefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
