Description

The Administrative Manager plans, directs, and oversees all administrative operations, human resources, and clinical services. This position may also oversee facilities planning, maintenance, custodial operations, and hold responsibilities for grants, contracts, and capital budgets.

Responsibilities

  1. Analyze internal processes and implement procedural and policy changes to improve operations.
  2. Monitor performance through operational, financial, and clinical data analysis; lead resolution efforts.
  3. Develop business plans for new research and clinical faculty and programs.
  4. Assist in strategic long-term planning, including operational, quality, educational, research, financial, and reputational goals. Develop strategies for program expansion.
  5. Assist in budget planning by analyzing short and long-term program needs; collaborate with leadership to complete annual budgets.
  6. Lead budget variance analysis and develop remediation strategies.
  7. Prepare quarterly financial statements for the Respiratory Institute, integrating hospital and school revenues and expenses.
  8. Manage administrative matters such as faculty reporting, OPPE files, and recruitment processes.
  9. Interpret and administer personnel policies related to hiring, performance, training, disciplinary actions, and salary recommendations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  10. Facilitate training programs and conduct staff training for departmental services.
  11. Implement quality assurance programs to meet standards of accrediting agencies.
  12. Lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders across Mount Sinai, including research and new clinical initiatives.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in an administrative or management role.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $78,884 - $118,000 annually, dependent on experience and education. This range does not include bonuses or other benefits.
