Job summary

Join MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane as an RN House Supervisor, serving as in-house administrator for the hospital-based team. You will oversee policy, guide decisions, and help ensure efficient operations across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher; five years+ service allowed in lieu of education.
• Advanced nursing degree preferred (MSN/PhD/DNP/ARNP).
• Current RN license in Washington State or MLS endorsement.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Five years recent clinical experience in a tertiary acute care setting; leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating.
• Engage critical thinking in decisions regarding patient care with standards and data.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process per hospital policies and protocols.

Position Summary

We're seeking an RN House Supervisor to ask as in-house administrator for our hospital-based team. Overseeing hospital policy and problem resolutions, you will serve as a both leader and resource in facilitating efficient operations throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating on an ongoing bases
• You will engage your critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, including knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data
• You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
• Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
• Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification or must become certified within 6 months of employment
• Five (5) years recent clinical experience in a tertiary acute care setting
• Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role
• Three (3) years management experience preferred

Founded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. Deaconess is home to a Level III Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, Maternal Fetal Medicine program and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $48.85 - $85.58 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
