Job summary

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA seeks a Staff RN to join our hospital-based team. This 0.9 FTE night-shift role features three 12-hour shifts per week with alternating weekends, offering stability and work-life balance in a thriving Pacific Northwest community.

You will organize patient care, apply nursing processes, collaborate with diverse teams, and advocate for ethical, holistic care. Requires a BSN and WA RN license; BLS is required, ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or obtained within five years from hire date.
  • MSN/PhD/DNP/ARNP advanced degree preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or MLS endorsement.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC/NRP certifications as required by facility.
  • One year of experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating.
  • Use nursing process to deliver care per hospital policies and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction.
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families and staff.
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
  • You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
  • You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
  • Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and members of the health care team
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
  • Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department
  • Certification in specialty area preferred
  • One (1) year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Founded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. Deaconess is home to a Level III Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, Maternal Fetal Medicine program and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $43.85 - $80.58 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
