Job summary

Belshire is seeking an Administrative & Environmental Compliance Specialist in California. You will perform data entry and regulatory submissions, prepare UST documents, and draft facility maps while coordinating with field personnel and agencies.

The role involves field inspections, training of facility staff, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Candidates must pass a CA certification program and background checks.

Qualifications

  • Must complete California UST System Operator certification after training.
  • Valid CA driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Pass background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regulatory visual inspections at gas stations and UST/AST facilities.
  • Assist with regulatory data entry and agency submissions.
  • Prepare Hazardous Material Business Plans and UST documents.
  • Draft facility maps and verify data submitted by field personnel.
  • Complete mass updates on compliance reports.
  • Communicate with environmental regulatory agencies and clients.
  • Provide annual training to designated facility employees on safety and compliance duties.
  • Perform state inspection report forms.
  • Travel between home office and job sites as required and work independently or in a team.

Our dedicated team includes seasoned regulatory experts who utilize tailored compliance and document management programs to ensure regulatory tasks are completed accurately and on time for our customers.We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to assist ongoing regulatory environmental compliance programs related to underground storage tank facilities. Successful completion of State certification test is required upon completion of company paid training program.AS AN ADMINISTRATIVE & ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST, YOU WILL:Perform data entry and online agency submissions for regulatory requirements in California Environmental Reporting System (CERS)Prepare Hazardous Material Business Plans and UST documentsDraft facility maps and verify data submitted by field personnelComplete mass updates on compliance reportsCommunicate with environmental regulatory agencies and clientsCollaborate with other Belshire Departments as neededFIELD RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct regulatory visual inspections at gas stations and other UST and AST facilities.Effectively communicate crucial information to assist our clients in maintaining compliance with federal, state, district, and local regulations.Provide training annually to designated facility employees on required safety and compliance duties.Complete state inspection report forms.Perform additional environmental regulatory audits as required by client and location.Act independently and as part of a team to make appropriate compliance recommendations.Perform regular safety checks on all field equipment and complete vehicle inspection reports.PAY:Starting hourly rate will be $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.$500 bonus to be paid after your 90-day anniversary.Travel time between your home office and job sites is paid at your regular hourly rate.Mileage between your home office and job sites is reimbursed at IRS standard mileage rates.All training and fees associated with obtaining required certification will be paid.HOW WE HELP YOU SUCCEED:We provide great training, generous compensation, and comprehensive benefits that allow our employees to find fulfillment and security in personal life and career alike. Typically, one day per week is dedicated to field work at our customer sites (80% office/20% field).You have the ability to pass the California UST System Operator Certification after completing our company-sponsored training program.You work well independently.You have the capability to be a quick learner.You understand regulations.You have the ability to collaborate with a team.You have a strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.You have excellent time management skills.You have excellent written & verbal communication skills.You enjoy problem solving.You are proficient with computers and learning new software.FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:Successful completion of the California UST System Operator certification is required after completing the company-sponsored training program (required).Personal vehicle to be used for travel between job sites (required).Valid CA driver’s license with excellent driving record (required).Ability to pass background screening after a conditional job offer is made and accepted (required).Suitable candidates will be located in or near the job location (required).Bachelor's Degree (preferred).Customer Service experience (preferred).Field experience, working outdoors (preferred).Overnight travel may be required (expenses reimbursed).
