  • Serve as the primary contact for processing all incoming bankruptcy notifications from the Eastern District of Louisiana.
  • Log and route checks and copies to appropriate Financial staff.
  • Process W-9 requests via email, fax or mail; verify information.
  • Log bankruptcy payments and forward to Financial Unit for processing.
  • Draft agency responses to consumer reporting requests with Financial Summary copies.
  • Ensure court documents and case records reach staff timely to meet deadlines.

Join Our Team at DCFS: Administrative Coordinator 3 (Child Support Enforcement)

The position will assist with maintaining the bankruptcy notices log and ensuring bankruptcy-related correspondence is electronically routed to the appropriate field office, caseworker, manager, and attorney supervisor for timely review and action. This includes monitoring correspondence received, documenting the receipt and routing of notices, and helping ensure that bankruptcy information is directed to the appropriate staff without unnecessary delays.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in administrative services.


Experience Substitution

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.


Job Duties


  • Serves as the primary point of contact with full responsibility for processing all incoming bankruptcy notifications from the Eastern District of Louisiana.

  • Documents and logs checks received and ensures checks, check log, and copies are hand delivered to appropriate financial staff for processing according to office procedures.

  • Process W-9's (Request for Tax Id) request via email, fax or mail upon receipt. Verifying the requestors' information and authorization to receive the information.

  • Copying, retaining and logging bankruptcy payments (checks) to forward to the Financial Unit for processing.

  • Primarily responsible for drafting agency response to all consumer reporting requests and sending correspondence to the client with a copy of Financial Summary from LASES.

  • Uses knowledge of procedures and office structure in order to ensure that important court documents, office documents and case record material reach appropriate staff timely to comply with mandated time frames.


Position-Specific Details

Appointment Type

This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.


Work Schedule

TTypically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.

Louisiana HB 420 requires all prospective DCFS employees to complete and clear multiple background clearances prior to employment with this agency.
