Position Description

Serco is hiring an Administrative Clerk supporting our Navy customer in Pittsburgh, PA.

Serco supports the Navy Recruiting Command with recruiting the best quality men and women from the diverse population of our country and focuses on productive outcomes by executing best business practices and maintaining an effective, motivated, and integrated active and reserve recruiting force.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $16.33/hour plus an additional $4.57/hour for Health and Welfare (H&W).

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to program administrators by typing, editing, and distributing correspondence following established guidelines.
  • Prepare personal awards using templates and engrave names and logos on plaques.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and visitors.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments, including conference calls.
  • Communicate with staff, applicants, and the public daily.
  • Maintain filing systems for applicant files, correspondence, reports, and other materials.
  • Assist with copying, mailing, faxing, and preparing routine correspondence.
  • Compile and maintain data for reports.
  • Review and verify applicant paperwork, updating records in secure data systems.
  • Analyze and present statistical data related to applicants and marketing efforts.
  • Prepare reports for managers on issues, delays, costs, and resource needs.
  • Track workload and progress using Navy applications and web-based programs.
Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Experience editing documents according to SECNAV awards instructions and Navy Correspondence Manual.
