Job summary

Delaware State Auditor’s Office in Dover is seeking an Administrative Auditor to lead and oversee complex engagements ensuring efficient, compliant state operations. The role requires hands-on experience with government auditing standards and managing diverse audit streams to deliver high-quality findings.

You will supervise staff, guide on internal controls evaluation, and coordinate with CPA contractors while maintaining strict deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Science, Business, Technology or related field.
• Three years’ experience planning, organizing, developing, implementing and evaluating multiple engagements.
• Three years' experience in staff supervision and mentoring auditors.

Responsibilities

• Documents, tests, reviews and evaluates management controls and operating procedures.
• Evaluates overall accuracy and sufficiency of controls and procedures within engagements.
• Develops engagement scope, objectives, plan and program.
• Performs complex data analyses using data analysis software.
