Apex Systems seeks an administrative support professional to manage essential duties within a defined area. Responsibilities include data organization, effective communication, and problem-solving within diverse teams. This remote position requires living within an hour of the office for occasional meetings.
Responsible for performing administrative support duties within the assigned area. Responsibilities are specific to the organizational unit (i.e. region, district, department, plant, etc.) and, when prepared by the business unit, are described separately on an addendum to this position description.
Pay Rate: $19.10/hour
Locations Fort Wayne Indiana
Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
1. Major responsibilities:
Review work order packets for accuracy; Conduct various types of journal entries for corrections; Self-driven to accomplish goals with overall direction; Work/Communicate with internal groups to support work like Joint Use, Invoicing, and Field personnel; Communicate via email and messaging.
2. Communication and interpersonal skills:
Listens to and understands written and verbal instruction; communicates effectively with co-workers and other employees and/or customers outside work area; answers phone calls clearly and with a friendly, helpful tone; works effectively and productively with others; actively helps others with assignments as necessary to maintain department productivity.
Answers customer questions but knows when appropriate to refer questions or issues to others; actively learns the function of the department and each employee responsibility to assist customers more effectively; exhibits concern and sensitivity to others.
4. Problem solving and initiative:
Applies basic education and training in job responsibilities and assignments; asks questions when unsure of how to handle an assignment and demonstrates ability and initiative to handle assignments beyond the basic, routine level.
Basic Qualifications:
Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Experience: Three years of administrative work experience. Demonstrated computer proficiency including the use of Microsoft Office Products. Experience with timekeeping and financial systems helpful. Must possess the ability to organize data and processes and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Displays good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Possible OT is available based on workload
This is a remote position but must live within an hour of the office since we do come together in office for meetings/presentations etc.
Training will be done onsite Mon-Thurs for at least 1-2 weeks.
