Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Administrative Associate to support the Labor and Delivery, Special Care Nursery, and Postpartum units on a part-time night schedule (7pm–7:30am, Mon–Fri and alternating weekends). You will handle patient registration, insurance coordination, and communications to ensure smooth patient flow and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Register and admit patients with accuracy and compassion; maintain patient information in hospital systems.
• Verify insurance coverage and process payments; balance cash if applicable.
• Serve as unit receptionist and information resource for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Transcribe orders and maintain patient records per standards.
• Assist with birth certificates, death records, and related regulatory filings.
• Support unit operations and maintain confidentiality per regulations.

Education

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
