POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting Nutrition Services by performing administrative and secretarial functions and providing coverage in kitchens when necessary, typically 1-2 days per week. These duties include, but are not limited to, Processing free and reduced educational benefit applications and all related duties, data entry and data checks, recordkeeping, database management, reporting, budgeting, invoice processing, accounting support, making and entering bank deposits, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, typing correspondence, analyzing reports, organizing and maintaining files, managing staff timesheets, coordinating substitutes, providing kitchen coverage when short staffed or additional support is needed, supporting with district events and special occasions, and promote good community relations among stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision responsibilities applicable when covering in a kitchen. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word & Excel; proficient with Google Platforms, including Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Meets; experience with databases, student information systems, accounting/financial software, timekeeping systems, and department-specific software; strong data entry, spreadsheet, reporting, and data verification skills; ability to create and maintain electronic forms, records, spreadsheets, and tracking systems; ability to process purchase orders, invoices, P-Card transactions, and bank deposits; ability to troubleshoot technology and provide basic staff training; and ability to maintain confidentiality and securely manage sensitive student, employee, and financial information.
BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain accurate recordkeeping, create purchase orders, manage and process invoices, P-Card transactions (including maintaining, and filing receipts) and other financials; reconcile P-Card purchases and assist with resolving discrepancies; prepare and make routine bank deposits and accurately record transactions in the accounting system; maintain accurate financial and purchasing records and supporting documentation; support the preparation of financial program reports, maintain records necessary to support audits, claims, reimbursements and financial reviews; exercise appropriate judgement when handling department funds and confidential records.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent. (required). Bilingual(preferred). Three (3) years job related experience in Nutrition Services (preferred). Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and Frontline (preferred).
Experience with Nutrition Services Software (preferred)
Experience with Student Information Systems (preferred) English fluency will be determined through the interview process.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Colorado Driver's License. Current CPR and First Aid (preferred or willing to obtain upon employment).

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, kitchens can be loud. Mostly clean and comfortable.
REPORTS TO: Director of Nutrition Services
LOCATION: This is an on-site position that requires regular, in-person attendance at RDAB and school sites at least two days per week, or more frequently as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
SALARY: $25.35 - $28.68 per hour, depending on qualifications and prior related experience.
