Position Overview

Amity Foundation is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals for the Administrative Assistant role. This position supports the STOP Program Director and provides vital clerical support for our re‑entry programs, helping the inmate population while enhancing your training and experience in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative, secretarial, and receptionist tasks, including arranging itineraries, preparing agendas, arranging meetings, and composing correspondence and memos.
  • Establish and maintain files and records, including clinical or other confidential materials.
  • Receive, screen and route visitors, correspondence, and telephone calls.
  • Attend committees or other meetings as needed.
  • Assist in research compilation and organization of statistical and narrative data for reports and proposals.
  • Maintain general filing systems.
  • Coordinate routine data entry of administrative information, such as general staff records and training.
  • Manage logistics of routine in‑service training.
  • Attend workshops, meetings, and training as requested by supervisor.
  • Serve as Community Advocate role in addition to job as requested by community leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as an administrative assistant or in data entry.
Certifications and Licenses
  • None required.
  • None preferred.

  • Understanding of substance abuse causes, symptoms, and effects.
  • Proficient knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
